Jessica Sain

Hello! My name is Jessica Sain and I am teaching first grade here at Falling Branch! I am excited to begin the year with the wonderful students and staff of FBE.

I was born and raised in Newport News, Virginia. Throughout my high school career I stayed involved in tennis, the Student Council Association, Interact Club, Yearbook and various other clubs that I enjoyed participating in. Tennis, traveling and writing are all passions of mine (this made varsity tennis and yearbook a perfect fit!). I committed to graduate from Menchville High School in 2010 and was ready to move to Blacksburg to begin my college career at Virginia Tech.

At Virginia Tech I explored many different majors ranging from Natural Resources to Business Management. When it came time to make a decision about my future, I knew what I needed to do and switched my major to Human Development in order to pursue my dreams of becoming an elementary educator. I committed to graduate in May of 2014 with my bachelor’s in Human Development. During this time I was able to volunteer and intern in many Montgomery County elementary schools. These experiences are what led me to falling in love with this area and the community that is built in each elementary school!

Upon graduating I decided to further my education and I committed to graduate with my Master’s degree in elementary education in May of 2015. During this time I was able to gain experience student teaching in Roanoke City Public Schools at Hurt Park Elementary and here in Montgomery County at Kipps Elementary (the sister school of FBE!). I had such wonderful students in both of these places and gained so much experience working with students from many different backgrounds and cultures.

I am looking forward to this year and am ready to make wonderful memories at this amazing school!
