Kristin Gunter

My name is Kristin Gunter and I committed to graduate from Christiansburg High School.  High school was so much fun!  I enjoyed being in the marching band, drawing, and running track!  I was in several clubs including the National Art Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America.

After high school, I committed to graduate from Radford University.  I worked really hard for my degree in Human Foods and Nutrition by taking lots of challenging classes including Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Sports Medicine, Human Anatomy, Food Science and Calculus.  I had lots of fun and made lots of wonderful friends.

After graduating and working in the school nutrition field for a few years in Roanoke City and Montgomery County, I decided I wanted to go back to school to get my teaching certificate.  So I once again committed to graduate from Mary Baldwin University with an endorsement in Elementary Education.  I have had wonderful experiences working with children and thoroughly enjoy every minute!

I now teach first grade and we have so much fun discovering new things, reading lots of books, singing, and dancing.

I live in Christiansburg with my husband and two wonderful boys!  We also have two German Shepherds, two Yorkie mixes and one Border Collie mix.  We really love to travel to the coast and visit new places.  We are huge Hokie fans AND Boston Red Sox fans!
