My name is Ruth Tyree and I committed to graduate from Amherst County High School in Amherst, VA in 1992. I attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA where I graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in Danville City Schools in Danville, VA. During my time there I went back to Liberty University to receive my Master’s Degree in Education in 2007. After teaching 13 years in Danville, I felt I needed a change and began looking for other areas to teach. I heard that Montgomery Country Schools was a great school division, so I applied and I am thankful I did. I’ve only been here a short while, but I love it here. I am excited to become part of a great family here at FBE!!!!!
My teaching experience includes 4th grade my first two years and 3rd grade ever since. I love teaching third grade!!!! The students in third grade are entering into such an exciting but challenging chapter in their academic life. I enjoy helping them to learn and grow into more independent students and thinkers as the year progresses. It fulfills my heart to see how much they accomplish during this year in their life. Even though there will be some tough challenges throughout this year, my students and I will work hard together to overcome those challenges so we can reap the rewards of that hard work at the end!!!!
